William Joyce has put his personal stamp on all types of children’s media. His books include the New York Times bestsellers The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore (#1!) and The Man in the Moon, as well as Nicholas St. North and the Battle of the Nightmare King, E. Aster Bunnymund and the Warrior Eggs at the Earth’s Core!, and Santa Calls. He’s won an Academy Award for The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore, developed character concepts for Toy Story and A Bug’s Life, and made films including Robots and Meet the Robinsons. He executive produced of the DreamWorks Animation release of Rise of the Guardians inspired by his new series. He is also producing The Leaf Men, based on his book The Leaf Men. He lives in Shreveport, Louisiana, and is the cofounder of Moonbot Studios.
Brandon Oldenburg is an illustrator, designer, sculptor and film director. Most recently he co-founded the Shreveport, Louisiana based Moonbot Studios and co-directed the 2011 Oscar-winning animated short film, The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore. Since founding Moonbot in 2009 with co-founders William Joyce and Lampton Enochs, Oldenburg has also led Moonbot to create two best-selling iPad Apps, including The Numberlys, a fanciful depiction of the origin of the alphabet, and an interactive Morris Lessmore app that brings the short film to life on the iPad. Prior to launching Moonbot, Oldenburg oversaw a joint venture with William Joyce and Reel FX Creative Studios from 1998 to 2009 in which they collaborated on such works including Halloween decor for Martha Stewart, parade floats for Disney and title design for feature films such as Mr. Magorium. Their most recent story is now a DreamWorks production called The Rise of the Guardians. Serving as Senior Creative director of Reel FX Creative Studios for 15 years, he worked with such clients as Troublemaker Studios, Pixar, Disney, DreamWorks and Blue Sky Studios. His illustrations have graced the covers for prestigious authors’ books such as Elmore Leonard and Michael Chabon.
