Janice Duncan is a queer afrofuturist time traveler, creative producer, filmmaker, writer, and artist from Detroit, MI. She received a 2021 Academy Award nomination as the creative producer of the documentary short A Love Song For Latasha. Her cinematic voice is best rendered in examination of embodiment and dance as secret language technologies in her experimental filmworks. She world-builds and creates avant garde ways to inspire people towards greater self-determination, womanism, and unconditional empathy for one another and planet Earth.
