Grace Zahrah is a Lebanese-American artist and emerging documentary film editor to watch. A Karen Schmeer Fellow, Zahrah’s first feature documentary edit was COPWATCH (Nominated for Best Documentary, Tribeca Film Festival 2017). Since then, she has edited three feature documentaries: SCAB VENDOR, about a celebrity tattoo artist, STAY, an intimate, character-driven documentary about the Los Angeles foster care system, and premiering at Sundance in 2022, SIRENS, a gothic coming-of-age documentary about the first female metal band in the Middle East. Set to premiere in the fall of 2022, Zahrah’s next feature documentary edit is about the end of the war in Afghanistan from the perspective of a team of US Army Green Berets and a young Afghan general, produced by National Geographic with Academy Award-nominated director, Matthew Heineman. Graduating from Carleton College in Minnesota, Grace spent her undergraduate years making short documentaries in Lebanon and Jordan.
