Director/Cinematographer Rex Miller is a visual storyteller with an extensive background as a photographer/filmmaker, having started originally as a photojournalist in N.Y.C. (CBS, Musician, Newsweek, New York Magazine, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Spin, Sony Music, and Time). He grew up on the blue collar streets of Queens, NY (Astoria). He has been part of 2 Peabody-Award-Winning projects (as Cinematographer) and twice nominated for an Emmy for Cinematography. He recently directed (with Sam Pollard) the film “Citizen Ashe”, (CNN Films), which premiered at Telluride and won Best Documentary at both the 2022 Critics Choice and Grierson Awards and was nominated for an Emmy. Film/TV credits include: HBO, Netflix, American Masters/PBS, American Experience, Starz, ESPN, Hulu, Apple TV, and at Sundance, Tribeca, Telluride, Venice, New York Film Festival, London Film festival, , SXSW, DOCNYC, etc.
