Leanne Dare is a director and designer who also serves as the Chief Creative Director of the design and animation studio Visual Magic Department. With an extensive background in visual design for film and television, Leanne has worked across a number of non-fiction programs. In 2017, Leanne won an Emmy® for Outstanding Motion Design on the Oscar nominated Netflix documentary “13TH,” and in 2020, she won an Emmy® for Outstanding Motion Design on the Netflix documentary series, “Inside Bill’s Brain: Decoding Bill Gates.” In 2021, she co-directed the Pixar Animation and Disney+ documentary feature “A Spark Story,” and in 2022, Leanne served as a director on multiple episodes of the critically acclaimed Disney+ series “Sketchbook.”
