Jack Weisman is an internationally acclaimed director and cinematographer passionate about creative non-fiction. His work has screened at hundreds of film festivals, including Sundance, TIFF, and SXSW. Jack’s debut short film Nuisance Bear (The New Yorker) attempts to tell a story from a polar bear’s perspective without words. After making history with a record-breaking number of prizes and nominations from Cinema Eye Honors, Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards, and IDA Awards, Nuisance Bear was shortlisted for an Academy Award®. Jack is co-founder of the Peabody® and Emmy® winning production company Documist and served as an Executive Producer for The Territory (Nat Geo Docs). He is currently in pre-production on his debut feature film produced by Documist and Rise Films.
